Big week ahead! ZZ Top plays Sandy Amphitheater on Tuesday (Aug 18, 7 p.m.), Train performs at Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre (Aug 19, 6:45 p.m.), and Men at Work plays Red Butte Garden tonight (Aug 17). The Urban Arts Festival returns to Smith's Ballpark on Saturday (Aug 22, 12-10 p.m., free) with muralists, street artists, dance, and live music. Bluffdale Old West Days (Aug 22) features a pancake breakfast, parade, concerts, and fireworks. The Yours Always Music Festival runs Aug 21-23 at the Utah State Fairpark. Brandon Flowers (The Killers) performs at Red Butte Garden Aug 28, and Jack Johnson is at the Amphitheatre on Sep 4. Payson Golden Onion Days (Sep 3-7) is Utah's oldest Labor Day celebration with a parade, carnival, and fireworks. Snowbird Oktoberfest continues every weekend through October 11 (free admission). Thanksgiving Point Tulip Festival

SoJo Summerfest (South Jordan)

Sandy Amphitheater Concert Series
Through September 2026Sandy's 9,000-seat outdoor amphitheater continues its stellar summer lineup. This weekend (Aug 15-16): NeedToBreathe — the American rock band plays two nights (6:30 p.m.). Upcoming: Lewis Brice (August 20), Three Decades Tour with Gavin DeGraw & Lisa Loeb (August 21). Passed — August 7-8, 2026The 19th Annual Sandy City Hot Air Balloon Festival was a wonderful weekend of morning launches from Storm Mountain Park and the magical Saturday evening Balloon Glow at South Towne Promenade with a drone display. Next year's 20th anniversary will be announced by the city.

Salt Lake Bees Baseball at Daybreak
Passed — Through August 9, 2026The Salt Lake Bees wrapped up their inaugural home series at the spectacular new Ballpark at America First Square in Daybreak. The ballpark in the heart of Downtown Daybreak was a wonderful addition to the community. Check the Bees' 2027 schedule for their return to Daybreak next season.

801 Day — Salt Lake City
Passed — August 1, 2026A celebration of Salt Lake City's area code and homegrown culture with a beer garden, live music, a local artisan marketplace, and a new mural unveiling downtown. Huge turnout this year. Next year's event will be announced by the city.

Alpine Days
August 8 – 15, 2026Alpine's signature summer celebration features a PRCA rodeo at Lambert Park Rodeo Grounds, carnival rides, live concerts, a water day, a car show, and a parade through this charming mountain-base community. Park City Kimball Arts Festival
Passed — August 7-9, 2026Held on historic Main Street in Park City, this nationally recognized fine arts festival featured over 200 artists from across the country. Live music, gourmet food, and a sidewalk art gallery made for a wonderful mountain weekend. Next year's festival will be announced in spring 2027.

Ink & Art Fest — Ink Against Cancer
Passed — August 8-9, 2026The unique event at the Utah State Fairpark combining tattoo artistry, live music, and fine art vendors raised funds for cancer research. Next year's event will be announced by the organizers.

Friendly Islands Tongan Festival
August 14-16, 2026A free three-day celebration of Tongan and Pacific Islander culture at Pioneer Park in downtown Salt Lake City. The Friendly Islands Tongan Festival features traditional music and dance, authentic cuisine, a Kids' Corner with activities, and artisan arts and crafts. It is a wonderful opportunity to experience the rich cultural diversity that makes the Wasatch Front such a vibrant place to live. The festival runs Friday through Sunday and is open to all.

NeedToBreathe at Sandy Amphitheater
August 15-16, 2026The Grammy-nominated American rock band brings their signature blend of Southern rock, folk, and soul to Sandy's 9,000-seat outdoor amphitheater for two nights. Known for anthemic hits like "Brother" and "Multiplied," NeedToBreathe delivers a high-energy, heartfelt live show that fills the mountain air with music. Gates at 6:00 p.m., show at 7:00 p.m.

Pioneer Day Celebrations
Passed — July 24, 2026Utah's state holiday marked the arrival of pioneers in the Salt Lake Valley. Communities across the Wasatch Front hosted spectacular parades, rodeos, fireworks, cookouts, and neighborhood block parties. Days of '47, American Fork Steel Days, and Spanish Fork Fiesta Days all wrapped up the weekend of July 25. Mark your calendar for 2027!

Salt Lake Liberty Park Concert Series
Mondays, July 20 – August 17Free multicultural live performances every Monday evening (7:00 – 9:00 p.m.) at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City. Draper Concerts in the Park
Wednesdays, June – August 2026Free weekly concerts every Wednesday evening (7:00 – 8:30 p.m.) at Draper Historic Park. A wonderful midweek tradition featuring local bands against the backdrop of the Wasatch foothills. Bring a blanket, pack a picnic, and enjoy live music with neighbors. June – August 2026Free summer concerts at America First Square on the Rio Tinto Kennecott Stage in Downtown Daybreak. Red Butte Garden Outdoor Concert Series
Through September 2026Salt Lake City's premier outdoor concert venue at the University of Utah. Coming up: Herbie Hancock (Aug 13) — the legendary jazz pianist and composer performs in the stunning garden amphitheater. The Red Butte Garden series is known for its incredible sound, beautiful garden setting, and national touring acts. A wonderful evening out for Wasatch Front residents.

Indian Food Fair at Liberty Park
August 15, 2026A vibrant celebration of Indian culture at Liberty Park in downtown Salt Lake City. Real Salt Lake vs Minnesota United
August 15, 2026Major League Soccer action at America First Field in Sandy as Real Salt Lake hosts Minnesota United. A Saturday night match under the summer sky is one of the best live sports experiences on the Wasatch Front. RSL has been building momentum this season with strong performances at home. Kickoff at 7:30 p.m.

Magna Main Street Arts Festival
August 14-15, 2026Historic Main Street in Magna comes alive with local artists, live music on multiple stages, food vendors, and family-friendly activities. Cornbelly's Sunflower Festival (Thanksgiving Point)

Cornbelly's Halloween Festival at Thanksgiving Point
September 18 - October 31, 2026One of Utah's most beloved fall traditions, Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi offers something for all ages: an enormous corn maze, pumpkin patch, hay rides, the "Twistical" light show, the "Magic of Halloween" illuminated tree in Kidsville, fireworks on select nights, a night parade with glowing characters and fire dancers, and the spine-tingling "Insanity Point" haunted attraction. Daybreak Farmers Market
Every Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in Downtown Daybreak (started June 13). Browse fresh local produce, artisan goods, and specialty foods in the heart of Utah's largest master-planned community. Pair it with a walk around Oquirrh Lake.
Downtown SLC Farmers Market
Utah's largest farmers market runs every Saturday, 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. through October 24 at Pioneer Park (300 S 300 W). Over 200 vendors with fresh produce, artisan breads, local honey, prepared foods, and crafts. Tuesday evening market adds live music and a relaxed after-work atmosphere.
9th West Farmers Market
Every Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Jordan Park / International Peace Gardens, SLC. A Sunday market option with diverse vendors in a beautiful garden setting — great for central and south Salt Lake Valley residents.
Millcreek Harvest Market
Every Friday, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Millcreek Common. Fresh produce, food vendors, and a community atmosphere — a great weeknight option for central Salt Lake Valley families.
Sandy Farmers Market
Every Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. through October 17 at the Sandy Amphitheater grounds. Features vibrant fresh produce, locally harvested honey, baked goods, and beautiful handmade designs from local craft artisans. Live music often accompanies the shopping experience.
Draper Farmers Market & Food Truck Night
Now open every Tuesday, 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. through October 13 at Smith Fields Park (200 E 13400 S). Bring the family, lay down a picnic blanket, grab dinner from a fantastic lineup of rotating trucks, and stock up on local farm-fresh produce. One of the most relaxed market experiences along the Wasatch Front.
Saratoga Springs Farmers Market
Every Monday, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. through September 28 at Neptune Park (452 W 400 N). Part of the city's Summer Monday Fundays with food trucks and local vendors. A great weeknight community gathering on Utah County's western edge.
Daybreak Cove Night Market
Second and fourth Tuesday of each month, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at The Cove House in Daybreak. Local vendors, food, and a relaxed lakeside evening atmosphere. Next market: Tuesday, August 25 — the summer's best lakeside evening tradition.
Outdoor Concerts & Movies in the Park
Free musical performances and movie screenings fill city parks throughout South Jordan, Draper, Sandy, and Herriman from June to August. Draper's Concerts in the Park run every Wednesday at Draper Historic Park. Daybreak's concert series features tribute bands at America First Square. Check your local municipality's social pages for the full 2026 scheduling.
Community Fun Runs
From the SoJo Summerfest 5K in June to the Draper Days 5K in July, various charity runs, and the Lehi Round-Up 5K, staying active and social along the Wasatch Front is a year-round passion. The Draper trail running series runs GPS-timed races from May through October.
West Jordan Artisan Showcase
Every Wednesday, 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. through October 7 at Veteran's Memorial Park in West Jordan. Browse local artisans, handmade goods, and food vendors in a beautiful park setting. A great weekday evening option just minutes from Daybreak and South Jordan.
West Jordan Food Truck Round-Up
Every Tuesday, 5:00 - 9:30 p.m. through August 26 at Ron Wood Park in West Jordan. A rotating lineup of local food trucks, live music, and a family-friendly community atmosphere. A wonderful weeknight dinner option for west-valley families.
Holladay Concerts in the Park
Saturdays, 8:00 - 10:00 p.m. through August 22 at City Hall Park in Holladay. Free live music in a beautiful park setting with local bands, food trucks, and a warm community atmosphere.
South Jordan Farmers Market
Every Saturday, 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. from August 8 through October 10 at Town Center Drive in South Jordan. Fresh local produce, artisan crafts, and live music in the heart of the city. Just minutes from Daybreak.
Midvale Harvest Days
Wrapped up August 1 in Midvale — just north of Sandy and Draper. A week-long community celebration with a carnival, parade, live music, food booths, and a fireworks finale. Mark your calendar for next year's event.
Deer Valley Music Festival (Park City)
Wrapped up August 2 in Park City. The Utah Symphony's summer festival at Deer Valley Resort featured outdoor classical and pops concerts in a stunning mountain amphitheater. Next year's schedule will be announced in spring 2027.
Murray Farmers Market
Every Saturday, 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. through fall at Murray Park Avenue in Murray. A produce-focused market operated by the Utah Farm Bureau with fresh local fruits, vegetables, and artisan goods.
Taylorsville Farmers Market
Every Tuesday, 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. through September at Centennial Plaza (2600 W Taylorsville Blvd). A lively weeknight market with local produce, artisan food vendors, and a welcoming community atmosphere.
North Salt Lake Farmers Market
Every Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. through September at Legacy Park (1000 E 1100 N). Fresh produce, artisan crafts, and live music in a beautiful park setting.
Bohemian Bum Farmers Market
First Sunday of each month, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at The Gateway in downtown Salt Lake City. Handmade artisan goods, vintage finds, fresh local produce, and gourmet food vendors.
University of Utah Farmers Market
Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. from August 27 through October 8 at the University of Utah campus. Fresh produce, prepared foods, and artisan goods in a midday campus market setting.
Central 9th Night Market
Select Thursdays, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at 161 W 900 S in Salt Lake City. A cozy neighborhood market featuring local farmers, artisans, and food vendors.
Craft Lake City DIY Festival
August 7 through 9 at the Utah State Fairpark in Salt Lake City. Utah premier local-centric festival featuring hundreds of artisans, live music, STEM activities, a kids makerspace, and food vendors. A wonderful celebration of homegrown creativity.
Millcreek Summer Jam Concert Series
Mondays through August 31 at Canyon Rim Park in Millcreek. Free live concerts featuring electro pop, indie rock, and local bands starting at 7 p.m. A wonderful way to start the week with live music in a beautiful park setting. Easy to reach from Sandy, Draper, and the south valley.
Yours Always Music Festival
August 21 through 23 at the Utah State Fairpark in Salt Lake City. A three-day music festival with an eclectic lineup of national touring acts, local bands, food vendors, and art installations. A late-summer music highlight for the whole valley.
Utah Fashion Week
August 26 through 29 in downtown Salt Lake City at the Regent Street Black Box at Eccles Theater and the Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center. A showcase of Utah's growing fashion scene with runway shows, designer showcases, and industry events. An exciting cultural addition to the late-summer calendar.
